early detection of cold or flu symptoms

I have found the most effective way to combat flu or cold is early detection. This is critical if you are able to detect the virus the moment it enters your body you stand a better chance of eliminating it. It was always a certainty, I, like many others would catch a cold or flu at least once a year and mostly during the winter season. With a bit of self diagnosis and practice I was able to detect the virus within 1/2 - 3 hours of it entering my body. My first thoughts were that my immune system was not up to speed at that point to counter the invasion. I decided it was necessary to assist my immune system. I only took 2 cold /flu tablets and rested, by the next morning I was feeling normal - no symptoms. I didn't over exert myself, kept warm the whole day and the following day all was normal. That was 10 years ago and I have never had the flu or cold since nor have I had to use medication of any kind. In my case vigilance, care & knowing your body are key factors.

Staying healthy in college

One should eat healthy food and make sure to eat vegetables and fruits also. Another important factor is to exercise frequently (4-5 times a week). If you begin to feel ill, make sure to take medicine and sleep well.
