Strep Throat, ickiest thing to catch

I woke up one Sunday morning, not feeling healthy at all. I was running a fever, had the chills, and couldnt swallow. I continued my daily tasks, and by tuesday evening couldn't swallow or drink anything, I had happened to open my mouth wide to see how the back of my throat looked and it was then I noticed these white, yellowish slimmy spots in the back of my throat. It was then I decided the next day to go in to the Dr's office to see what the problem was because I had never felt this pain in my throat before in my entire life. That Wednesday during the Dr's visit, they swabbed my throat and the test came back positive for strep throat. It hurted so much to even swallow. That was the worst sore throat ever in my entire 30 years of life. I was lucky it dissappeared 2 days after I received a penicillin shot in my leg. Thank You Dr.
