Symptoms Relieved by Tylenol

  • Pain, including headaches and joint pain
  • Fever
  • Other minor aches and pains

Efficacy

Tylenol is considered very safe and effective if used properly. It is safe for use in children as young as two months old.

Tylenol Dosage

Regular Strength Tylenol

Adults and children over 12 years may take 2 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed
Should not exceed 12 tablets in 24 hours

Children 6-11 years may take 1 tablet every 4-6 hours as needed
Should not exceed 5 tablets in 24 hours

Tylenol Warnings

Great care should be taken not to exceed the recommended amount of Tylenol. Although it is considered one of the safest pain relievers/fever reducers, it can cause severe liver damage if too much is taken. Kids should not take more than 5 doses in 24 hours.
