This flu season is off to an early and significant start. Most years flu season doesn't peak until February or March, but we had significant flu activity in many parts of the country starting in November this year and it has showed no signs of slowing down.
With so many people getting sick, chances are good that someone you know has had it. Have you been one of the unlucky ones? Have you had the flu this year? And did you choose to get the flu vaccine or not?
The CDC recently stated that the flu vaccine appears to be over 60% effective this year since the strains of influenza in the vaccine closely match the strains that are making people sick, but some people who have had the vaccine have still gotten the flu. How has it affected you and your family?
