A Cold for Christmas

Follow me on:

Well, it wasn't on my Christmas list, but I got it anyway. The common cold. Runny nose, irritating cough, headache, congestion - it is miserable. I have managed to stay relatively healthy this year but I suppose colds catch up to all of us at some point or another. Having little kids in the house that pick up germs every other week doesn't help much either.

So, now that I have it, all I want to do is get rid of it. While there is no cure for the common cold to help me get better any faster, I will just have to do what I can to relieve the symptoms I have. If you are in a similar situation (and I suspect many of you are), there are things you can do to alleviate some of the discomfort.

If you are looking for medications to help you feel better, there are literally hundreds of options available - choosing the right one for you is the tricky part. We do have some helpful guides that can point you in the right direction though.

If you prefer to avoid medications, there are plenty of other options to help you feel better. From saline to humidifiers, we've got you covered.

If you follow some of these tips, your cold may not be gone by the New Year but hopefully you will at least feel well enough to enjoy the festivities!
